Wednesdays are review days, where I will give my opinion on a particular product, place, or concept.
Have you been to a gas station lately? If so, you may have noticed that the price of a gallon of gasoline has skyrocketed! If you're like me, you have a vehicle that requires [unleaded] gas, and filling up your tank will cost several times the advertised price. Sure, you think "I'll stop in at my local Speedway and get some $4.15 gas for my car". Then as you begin to pump, the price just continues to climb! I mean really, who buys 1 gallon of gas? And does that person have 9/10 of a penny, or are they being ripped off too? I think that 1/10 of a cent is used to fund some sort of pro-expensive-gas movement organized by the hybrid car manufacturers in an attempt to make us all drive little pansy cars that look like they should be in a Fisher Price play set! Seriously, how can we be expected to fit a family of four, 12 bags of hardwood mulch, and enough groceries for a week in one of those "compact" automobiles? At least with plastic shopping bags you can stack and squeeze a lot more groceries in a smaller space, but who wants their Oreos that close to the toilet paper? Kind of gross if you ask me. Maybe they can invent a full size SUV that runs on plastic shopping bags. Then I wouldn't have to toss so many of those things in my neighbors yard (they can take up a lot of valuable trash can space). Although they don't stink like my regular garbage, so I guess it would save on triple bagging my trash. Not like I even get a "thank you" from my trash man when I have the best smelling can on the block. What a bunch of ungrateful bastards! I give and give, and they never even acknowledge my generosity. I'll usually hide something nice for them, like a 200lb block of concrete, in the bottom of the trash can. I figure "hey, these guys could make something nice out of this for their family". Do I get a card? a plate of cookies? anything?! Nope. Every week I rush to the curb to see if they left something for me, and every week it's the same. My offerings are gone and I'm left with an empty trash can. Thanks guys! Nobody bakes cookies for me anymore, and it's really starting to bother me. Maybe it's that the cost of cookie ingredients have gone up? What does a chocolate chip cost now? They probably make you buy the entire bag - at an inflated price! Don't get me started...
